Quick and easy to make, this side dish will be on your “go-to” list for your next picnic, barbecue or pot luck!
Sweet, tangy, spicy baked beans go perfect with your Easter ham or barbecue!
- 4 15 oz. cans navy beans rinsed and drained
- 2 cups sweet yellow onion chopped
- 2 large green bell peppers chopped
- 2 T dry mustard
- 2 cups barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
Preheat oven to 350

Depending upon your preference, these baked beans can be tangy, sweet or spicy. For a sweeter flavor, use a sweet-based barbecue sauce and only 1 tablespoon of dried mustard. For a more tangy flavor, use an "original-flavored" barbecue sauce and add 3 tablespoons of dried mustard. To increase the heat or spice of the recipe, add 1 tablespoon of white ground pepper.
