Classic Meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ lbs ground beef
  • ¾ cup chopped onions
  • ¾ cup chopped green bell peppers
  • 1½ cups bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons Worchestershire
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°
  2. Combine all ingredients into big bowl; with clean hands, mix ingredients until combined
  3. Place beef mixture onto parchment lined baking sheet
  4. Shape meat into rectagular loaf
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until meat has reached 150° internal temperature
  6. Remove from oven; add generous amount of sauce on top
  7. Return meat to oven and bake an additional 15 minutes, or until beef has reached an internal temperature of 165°
  8. Slice and serve immediately

Sauce Mix Ingredients and Directions

  • 3 cups ketchup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Worchestershire sauce
  • pinch of salt
  1. Combine all ingredients and cover meat loaf

Recipe Notes

You may want to make extra sauce for individual servings
